Community Guidelines

The Menagerie community is a space for serious keepers, breeders, collectors, and enthusiasts to share knowledge, experiences, and passion for exotic animals and aquatic life.

These guidelines exist to maintain a respectful, accurate, and constructive discussion environment that serves the Menagerie community and supports responsible animal keeping.

All community members are expected to:

• communicate respectfully and constructively with other members;
• share accurate and well-founded information;
• disclose relevant experience and limitations when offering advice or opinions;
• post content in appropriate category sections; and
• clearly label speculation, opinion, and unverified information as such.

Community members may not:

• harass, bully, intimidate, or demean other members;
• post hate speech, discriminatory content, or targeted attacks;
• make threats of any kind toward other users or third parties;
• engage in fraudulent activity or impersonate other users;
• post spam, repetitive content, or unsolicited commercial messages;
• engage in self-promotion or advertising outside designated marketplace areas;
• post misinformation that is known to be false and intended to cause harm to animals or other users;
• dox other users by sharing private personal information without consent;
• impersonate Menagerie staff, moderators, or other users; or
• post NSFW or adult content of any kind.

Community content discussing animal care, husbandry, health, and species management is not veterinary or legal advice. Members are responsible for labeling their opinions, experiences, and recommendations appropriately.

• Do not present opinions as established facts when discussing care or husbandry.
• Do not provide care advice for species outside your personal experience without clearly qualifying your limitations.
• Encourage members to consult qualified veterinarians, herpetologists, or other specialists for professional guidance.

Community areas are not sales venues. Members may not:

• post unsolicited offers for sale, want-to-buy requests, or price negotiation discussions outside designated marketplace areas;
• discuss or coordinate price manipulation; or
• encourage or facilitate circumvention of Platform fees or systems.

Menagerie reserves the right to remove any content that violates these guidelines or that Menagerie deems harmful, misleading, or inconsistent with community standards, at its sole discretion and without prior notice.

Accounts that repeatedly violate these guidelines are subject to permanent ban from the Platform. Single serious violations may also result in immediate permanent ban without prior warning.
