Animal Welfare Policy

Menagerie requires that all animals listed on the Platform are treated humanely. Animal welfare is a core value of the Menagerie community and marketplace.

Listings and conduct that violate this Animal Welfare Policy are subject to immediate removal. Seller accounts that engage in welfare violations are subject to suspension or permanent termination at Menagerie's sole discretion.

The following conduct is prohibited on the Platform:

• engaging in cruelty, neglect, or abuse of any animal listed or sold on the Platform;
• misrepresenting husbandry conditions, health status, or care history of listed animals;
• packaging animals in ways that cause suffering, injury, or deprivation during transit;
• encouraging, facilitating, or promoting unlawful wildlife trafficking or poaching;
• promoting or glorifying abusive, cruel, or exploitative animal practices; and
• listing animals that are visibly in distress, ill, or unfit for sale or transport.

Sellers are required to:

• provide all listed animals with adequate housing, food, water, appropriate temperature, and species-specific environmental conditions;
• list only animals that are healthy, thriving, and fit for sale and transport;
• honestly disclose any known health issues, injuries, or conditions affecting listed animals; and
• use proper packaging that meets live animal shipping welfare standards and minimizes stress and harm during transit.

Menagerie community members may not:

• post content glorifying animal cruelty or abuse;
• share husbandry advice that is knowingly inaccurate or that could cause animal harm; or
• spread misinformation about species care, health, or husbandry in a manner likely to harm animals.

Violations of community welfare standards may result in content removal and account action.
